☕️About Me
Yoonjung Ahn has an extensive experience in multi-disciplinary quantitative research, spanning both her educational journey and professional career. She currently holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Department of Geography & Atmospheric Science at the University of Kansas, where she adeptly utilizes spatial modeling, spatial analysis, spatial statistics, and big data methodologies to investigate the disproportional impact of environmental hazards. Yoonjung has been trained as a health and medical geographer and geospatial information scientist👩🏻💻. Her research focuses on the intersection of social determinants of health, health inequity, built environment, and extreme weather events engaging topics such as identifying spatial disparities of extreme heat, understanding spatial variability in gridded weather data, and generating trajectory of built environment data focusing on United States 🌏🏥🗺️🏙️
